Addressing my restoration challenge

I did not receive a very enthusiastic response to my previous post so I am attaching 2 photos of my progress in addressing this challenge. I hope this might trigger some responses. Thank you

I have acquired lately a FN 1900 that is in very bad shape. I am beginning my restoration project by sanding the receiver. one chalenge I am facing is that I must sand they aera where they address is. Does anyone have suggestions how to restore the address following sanding. I don't need to completely sand off the writing but It will need a touch-up to be fully legible. When my project is finish I will post before and after pictures. Thank you
