Just jumped on to the forum today. I fortunately inherited both my fathers model 81 in 300 savage and my grandfathers model 8 in 35 Remington when my dad passed 10 years ago. Really have not used either other than to clean and shoot occasionally on the range. But now that I am getting a little older I wanted to pick them up and start using them more and in particular the Model 8 as it is a good deal lighter than my 30-06. Looking forward to every bit of advice I can get from here as I start this journey!
