Wow. When it rains....

I'll have to come back and explain the other guns & ammo stuff that's suddenly been appearing in my world, but I was glad to notice my FFL guy has more paperwork soon - http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewIt ... =481035017

and I just left his place, this afternoon, picking up a 4-pack of beater Model 10/29 receivers!

Cool. The end of the school year is nigh!!

Hey Adam,
Congrats on your newest aquesition. It looks like you made a good deal. I had actually put it on my watch list. But after spending alot at the Tulsa gunshow, and having to buy a new trolling motor for my bassboat when the old one just stopped this last weekend. I decided to restrain myself. It sold for AOL t. less than I figured it would.way to go.
And yes I shut down my website.
Thanks for your time,
Roger

Do you realize what you've done?! haha

You scored a great early 81 at a great price! I love how the stock set hasn't been sanded down, looks good.

You are 100% correct, sir, regarding your observations. I was a bit surprised that I was not easily overtaken in the bidding.

I looked at the jacket code in the picture - all I have yet - does show an "H" code for 1939, but the first letter may be E or something I can't tell - so no month yet.

Another thing - Cam, I now am on the ARF-15 pathway once again - same time I got the 4-pack of old Remington Model 10/29 shotgun receivers, I bought an Anderson AM-15 empty lower. And a parts kit.

Another thread for another time! However, Cam, I did want to mention that I plan on building a 6.5 Grendel upper as my first "top half" project. By that, I mean actually putting together barrel/etc not just buying a 6.5 Grendel upper "off the shelf"....stay tuned.

You Guys :!: :!:
Keep tweaking my pique. You should try the 223 and others in the Contender. Lapped barrels make for accuracy.

Send me a link to the other site so I can join the fun.

This is why I started the thread on the 223 sabots in 30Rem and plan to do the same with 300Sav. :geek:
Our ladies rejuvenated with 22-250 and 220 Swuft capabilities :o  :D

OK, I have no pics yet - but this Model 81, s/n 8280, has all the "classic" early 81 stuff - and it's just before the "later" features, so I am happy. LH/Feb '39 bbl jacket code.
Semi-beavertail forearm, steel buttplate, pretty decent blue remaining, s/n 8280 everywhere.
Will post pics but end of school term, pair of new high-energy pups keeps taking up my free time...
Needs just a cleaning and reassembly, nice to have a .30 Rem finally.

Thanks for listening!
Adam
