Model 8 bolt wont close

Long story short, found a nice 8 in .35, has not been shot in years. I first noticed the hammer pin missing. I got the stock, trigger guard off, gave everything a good cleaning. The trigger would not reset, it was not installed correctly, repaired that. I ordered a hammer pin today from numrich. Now, after getting it all together, minus (hammer pin), the bolt will not close all the way, it will catch when you pull it back. The bolt release works, but it acts like it hitting the left side of barrel. I checked the little flat spring is in its groove. I have had it apart several times and it baffles me. Thoughts on this problem? Thanks

I'd check to make sure each internal is orientated as pictured. **Note the magazine spring is installed backwards in this factory drawing!
