does anybody have a estimate of how many D grade model 8's were made?

I assume Remington did not record the higher grades. It could not have been too many as they were expensive

I'm not aware of any factory document that details productions figures of high grade Model 8's. I don't have a specific number, but thinking back I've seen at least a few dozen 8D's either in person or online.
