a suprise misfit

As I said on the welcome wagon, I inherited a gun collection, including some Remington's.
The Model 8 is a "D" grade, in .35 cal. Along with it was an extra barrel. However, it's a .25 cal. At the time I didn't know it wouldn't interchange with the 35. When I got John's book I found out that the 25-35 is quite rare, and it cannot be used with the 35. I thought about finding a nice early 8 in S N range (12xxx-13xxx), to put it into a period rifle.
I'm not sure that's going to happen, but I'm looking!!
