I recently purchased my first Model 8 yesterday. Caliber is .35 Remington, and the date code shows it being manufactured in August, 1930. I have fallen madly in love with the old girl. Thanks for such a splendid website, and a hearty “Howdy” to you all!

Sir, welcome aboard. I’m sure you will find most members here to be very friendly and helpful. It’s good to see that there are still some people who realize the historical significance of these rifles.
Thanks for your time

Welcome to the forum. I have had some good times in your state when visiting the gun show in Tulsa. Several of the old springpoles have followed me home over the years.
If we can help you with any questions or issues, just ask and someone will try to help.
Regards,

Thanks for making us newbies feel welcome! I haven’t yet made it to the gun show at Tulsa, maybe this year I will.

Sir , the Tulsa gunshow was on my bucket list for 35 years. Finally two of my sons took me there on my birthday. It can’t really be described to someone. You just have to see it to believe it. I’ve gone to it 5 times since that first trip, and I go now every chance I get. Every gun person should go at least one time. Coming from Iowa to Oklahoma, its a long drive, but worth it to me. With the new political climate, I suggest that you go if you can.
Thanks for your time
Roger
