So glad to have found this site and forum on model 8's.
My grandfather passed away this year, 7 months short of
. He left his 3 guns to me and the prize possession was his model 8.After finding thegreatmodel8.com I was able to determine that I now am the proud owner of a 1923 .35 Remington model 8.
Next year it will be 100 and I find that to be so cool.
I did take it to a gunsmith and had it serviced, ensuring it isn't firing condition. It passed with flying colors and will be used this month when I go on my deer hunt.
