How long did Remington put the "25-35 R" stamp on their rifles? Friend has an engraved one, so asking for him.

Great question.
The "25-35 Remington" nomenclature didn't last long. Since changes on these rifles are nearly all transitional, you don't see many guns marked 25-35 after 1910, but there are some exceptions. However, if you're talking about early guns with caliber markings hand engraved on the top of the jacket head (not roll stamped on the barrel extension), those were done during the first 1-2 years of production.

Ok, that would be roll stamped on the barrel extension. That was faded out around 1910 with some outlying examples in subsequent years.
