Just found this great forum. I'm the proud owner of my grandfather's Model 8. It was built in 1925 and he used it for deer hunting in South Texas. I look forward to reading and learning from all y'all.

Welcome aboard. You’ll find the members here to be helpful when you need the help. If you have questions,ask away and you’ll probably get some responses. You are lucky to have a family heirloom rifle. Be glad that you are given this opportunity. Hopefully you will be able to take it to the range to shoot it. It’s a great experience to shoot a family heirloom. I have some of my father’s and grandfather’s guns and it’s a real pleasure to shoot them and use them for the purpose they were made for.
