Looking for a barrel spring for a .35 Rem/.300 Savage(I believe they are the same), and a bolt recoil spring(that goes in the buttstock).

Funny, I just bought one, from the same guy, off of eBay.

Now I just need a bolt recoil spring.

I'm likely going to get 1. How does it compare, length strength etc.?

They're a new (re)production that are nearly identical to the originals. Guess i could message the seller to find out. Getting firsthand knowledge from the group is good though.

It is shorter than my original by about an inch.

I'm also in the market for a new 35 rem barrel spring now. Can any of you give your review on the eBay springs?

Worth buying?

I'm following this thread, now. My question is about the difference in stock springs in terms of length.
It seems that two of my later 81 rifles in .300 Savage had springs that measured approx 10-3/8". One spring that I think came with my Model 8 in .35 Rem was more like 11-1/2".

Does anyone have any data on these? Would any spring work for any chambering - the original "orphans" 25/30/32 Rem, then the big 35 Rem, and finally the high-velocity 300 Savage?

Please chime in if you have some knowledge on recoil springs (the main spring in the barrel jacket) and whether to expect variation in sizes.

I no longer have a 30 Rem rifle, traded it off some time ago, so I can't compare the springs from that one.

Thanks guys!
