Hey guys, This is a quick heads up on an FN 1900 that popped up online.
The seller says it’s refinished, but thecheckering pattern on the wood looks far more suspicious to me than the bluing. It could be reblued, but pictures aren’t good enough to tell in my opinion. Anyway, these rifles are so rare that you almost never see them up for sale. So anyone looking for one may want to take a look.
Thanks for your time
Roger

Is that serial number 5064 ??? Or am I seeing things?
Looks pretty decent over all, I'd bid on it if I could!

Hey guys, the serial number appears to be in the 3000 range. Or at least that first number looks like a 3 to me. Also the buttplate screws are screwy.
Thanks for your time

This serial number, 3064, is new to our worldwide FN 1900 database! This makes a worldwide total of 156 (so far) of these rifles recorded today.

Always cool to see one pop up.

Hey Cameron, What is your opinion on the checkering pattern of this rifle? It doesn’t look anything like any FN patterns that I’ve seen. However, I’ve certainly not seen everything in my lifetime. I’m just curious what everyone else thinks about this pattern.

Keen observation Roger. I've never seen an FN with that pattern of checkering, especially on the wrist. The wood is of a bit higher quality than most FN's too.

Hey guys, My humble opinion/guess is that it was ordered with higher grade wood and checkering. Or returned for an upgrade/restoration , since the seller claims it was refinished. Thanks for your time
