Brand new owner here, this is my firsst Remington Model 81. Found it at one of our local gun shops in the used gun rack. I honestly didn't know much about these guns, had never even seen one in person before. I knew just enbough to see it and say, "Hey, isn't that one of those...?" 
Took a pic, and talked about it with my buddy later that night. Decided to go back the next day and make an offer! What a fascinating gun! I'm hooked. Has a vintage Weaver K2.5x and offset mount.
