Hello gentleman.
The leaves are falling and the bucks are rutting. Good luck to all the sportsman going afield. I also wish the best for the friends and family of the group as the year draws closer to an end.
I took a moment to grab some pictures of my first 1906 "introductory year" rifle. I also added a couple accouterments to spice it up. A box of UMC 35 Remington Autoloading that was only offered from 1906-1907 and an original brass clip.
While visiting John Taylor "54Bullseye" earlier this year, I brought up "for the tenth time" that he should sell me his Autoloading Rifle serial #734. My inquiries didn't start until he aquired a excellent example "serial #245." If he hadn't upgraded to an earlier serial rifle i don't believe I would've been able to pry this from his hands.
It's a wonderful condition 1906 rifle that stood the tests of time. I imagine it didn't get much use by the owners.
John put in some work to get appropriate sling studs to fill the very old threaded hole in buttstock and boss in forearm, a sight blank and a Williams peep "which it was already drilled for."
