REPAIR OR REPLACE CRACKED STOCK???
REPAIR OR REPLACE CRACKED STOCK???
I have the opportunity to purchase a 1930's vintage 35 cal model 8 with cracks on both sides of the wrist. Is there a chance that a replacement stock might be found? Or is there a chance that a cracked stock might be repaired? Advice would be appreciated. Regards, Jim...
Re: REPAIR OR REPLACE CRACKED STOCK???
Thanks Pack. I assumed there was something like that out there. On an original stock, is there a serial #? If not, chance of finding an original used stock in decent condition? I'm from the double gun world (albiet pretty new there also), and accustomed to being concerned abut the originality of the wood, etc. Regards, Jim C....

Re: REPAIR OR REPLACE CRACKED STOCK???
Pack. I wish I could afford them also. By double guns, I meant SxS shotguns, not rifles.
I have 2 L.C. Smiths, a Fulton and just sold a Fox Sterlingworth, after deciding I really like the side-plate Elsies much better than the box locks on the Fox.
