Hi All,
I just cane over from the Remington Collectors site. I'm hooked on all things Remington,
and just happen to have 1 M-8 and 2 M-81's. (well it didn't just happen).
One of the 81's is marked "Police Model' "Property of Sheriff Dept. Los Angeles County"
The 8 is a D Grade.
I I wasn't technically challenged, I would post some photos.

Welcome to the forum. Like you, I'll admit to being a real fan of all things Remington, especially older rifles and shotguns. It sounds like you have some very interesting Model 8 and 81 rifles. That D Grade 8 ought to be a sweet rifle and the Police model 81 is a "holy grail" gun to many of us here.
