New guy with a project gun from Michigan

Hello! Newbie here from Michigan. Wanted to join to learn more about the model 8/81. I currently have a model 81 that I bought for a project gun. It's a 1950 model 81 in .300 Savage. I've got some things I'd like to do to it and joined here to get info and ideas for it. Looking forward to chatting with you all!

Hey jayzbird,
Welcome to the forum. You have found the perfect place to get advice on your project gun. The model 81 in the .300 Savage is a good rifle and the nice thing is that you can still buy modern ammunition for it. It shoots good and has good knock down power. Let us know what your project is about and don't hesitate to ask the questions. We are always wanting to see pictures and if you have any , please post for us. We will look forward to your questions.
